Table-tennis ball has mass 10g and s peed of 90m/s. if speed can be meausred within an accuracy of 4%. What will be the uncertainly in speed and position?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Uncertainty in speed of ball = `(90 xx 4)/(100) = 3.6 ms^(-1)`
Uncertainty in position, `Delta x = h/(4 pi m Delta v)`
`= (6.626 xx 10^(-34) Js)/(4 xx 3.14 xx 10 xx 10^(-3) kg xx 3.6 ms^(-1))`
`=1.46 xx 10^(-33) m`.
