What are the different types of movements exhibited by the cells of human body?

Cells of human body show types of movements:
(i) Amoeboid movements. These are shown by leucocytes (especially neutrophils) of blood, macrophages of connective tissue and phagocytes of certain body organs e.g., Kupffer cells of liver. Such movements are brought with the help of temporary feet, called pseudopodia formed by the streaming movement of of cytoplasm, called cyclosis, and cytoskeleton structures called microfilaments.
(ii) Ciliary movements. A number of internal structures of man like trachea, fallopian tubes and vasa efferentia are lined by ciliated epithelium. The cells have fine hair-like cilia arising from the cytoplasmic basal granules. The cilia beat in coordination and move dust particles out of trachea, egg or zygote in the fallopian tube and sperms in vasa efferentia.
(iii) Muscular movements. These are brought about by the specific types of muscle fibres. These include the movements of eye balls, pinnae of ears, peristalsis of gut, heard beating, chest movements, etc. for photoreception, sound (phono-) reception, food movements, transportation of materials, respiration respectively.
