By mutagen in a gene,alignment and composition of nitrogenous base is altered of DNA.A chemical mutagen ,nitrous acid,deaminates cytocine to uracil,guanine to xanthine and adenine to hypoxanthine .In this way,base pairs are either eliminated to replaced and leadss to alreration in expression of genes.
