Test tube baby programme involves two procedures : (i) In-vitro fertilization i.e. fusion of sperm with harvested ovum in culture medium under aseptic conditions. (ii) Embryo-transfer either at Zygote or 8-celled stage in the fallopian tube of female (called ZIFT) or at 16 or 32-celled stage in the uterus (called IUT) to start the pregnancy
