A block of mass M is placed on a smooth table. Its two sides are attached to fixed walls by means of collinear horizontal springs of spring constants `k_(1)` and `k_(2)(k_(1)gt k_(2))` as shown in the Figure. The block is made to oscillate horizontally along the line of the two springs.
The frequency of its oscillation is :

A

`(1)/(2pi)((k_(1)+k_(2))/(M))^((1)/(2))`

B

`(1)/(2pi)((k_(1)-k_(2))/(M))^^((1)/(2))`

C

`(1)/(2pi)((M)/(k_(1)+k_(2)))^((1)/(2))`

D

`(1)/(2pi)((M)/(k_(1)-k_(2)))^((1)/(2))`.

Two spring of spring constants 10Nm^(-1) and 20 Nm^(-1) are connected in series. One end of the combination is supported rigidly and the other to a body of mass 2 kg. Neglecting the masses of the springs, calculate the frequency of oscillation of the system.

If T_(1) and T_(2) are the time of oscillations for two springs of constants k_(1) and k_(2) connected to the mass m individually then calculate the time period of oscillations when both the spring are connected to the same mass and subjected to oscillations.

A block of mass 'm' is connected to another block of mass 'M' by a spring (massless) of spring constant 'k'. The blocks are kept on a smooth horizontal plane. Initially the blocks are at rest and the spring is unstretched. Then a constant force 'F' starts acting on the block of mass 'M' to pull it. Find the force on the block of mass 'm'.
