How are `beta`-rays emitted from a nucleus, when it does not contain electrons ?

The emission of electron from a radioactive nucleus is called `beta`-decay. During `beta`-decay, a neutron converts into a proton according to the following scheme.
`""_(0)n^(1) rarr ""_(1)H^(1)+""_(-1)e^(0)+bar(v)`
Hence the nucleus emits electrons, although it does not contain it.
