Fleming.s left hand rule. Stretch the thumn, fore finger and middle finger of your left hand such that they are mutually perpendicular to each other. If the first finger points in the direction of magnetic field and central (second) finger points towards the direction of current then thumb points towards the direction of thrust, force or towards motion as shown in Fig.
