Algae are known to reproduce asexually by variety of spores under different environmental conditions. Name these spores and the conditions under which they are produced.
Asexual reproduction in algae is very common mean of reproduction.

(i) Zoospore. Flagellated and produced under favourable conditions.
(ii) Aplanospores. Unicellular,non-motile and thin walled spores and produced underless unfavourable conditions.
(iii) Hypnospores. Thick walled non-motile spores and produced under high unfavourable condtions.
(iv) Akinetes. Thick walled vegatatives cells produced in filaments to tolerate the unfavourable condtions.
