How will you induce lateral branching in a plant which normally does not produce them ? Give reason in support of your answer.

Apical bud checks the sprouting of lateral buds due to presence of auxins. The phenomenon is called apical dominance. However when apical bud is removed, lateral branches are produced. Due to removal of apical bud effect of auxins is destroyed inducing the lateral buds to grow rapidly.
