(a) Hyperglycaemia and ketonaemia are symptoms of diabetes mellitus which occurs due to deficiency of insulin of B-cells of Islets of Langerhans of pancreas.
(b) Target cells of insulin hormone are hepatocytes of liver, muscles and adipose tissues.
(c) This pathological condition is called diabetes mellitus and can be rectified by insulin therapy (controlled dose of insulin) and sugar free diet.
