What is the length of a simple pendulum ...

What is the length of a simple pendulum which ticks second?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A simple pendulum which ticks seconds is a seconds pendulum and its time period is
T = 2s
Since `T = 2pisqrt((l)/(g))`
`rArr l = (T^(2)g)/(4pi^(2)) = (2^(2) xx 9.8)/(4xx 9.87) = 0.992` m
