a vessel of 120 mL capacity contains a certain amount of gas at 1.2 bar pressure and `35^(@)C`. The gas is transferred to another vessel of volume 180 mL at `35^(@)C`. What would be its pressure?

Since temperature and amount of gas remains constant, therefore, Boyle.s law is applicable.
`p_(1)V_(1)=p_(2)V_(2)`
`p_(1)="1.2 bar "p_(2)=?`
`V_(1)="120 mL "V_(2)="180 mL"`
`therefore 1.2xx120=p_(2)xx180`
`therefore" "p_(2)=(1.2xx120)/(180)="0.8 bar"`
