What could be the harmful effects of improper management of industrial and domestir solid wate in a city ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If the domestic waste in a city is not properly managed, it may go into sewers or may be eaten up by the cattle. The non-biodegradable waste such as polythene bags, metal scraps, etc., may block the sewers. The polythene bags if swallowed by the cattle can result in their death. Similarly, if industrial waste is not properly managed, it will cause pollution of air, water and soil.
