A piece of lens is used to focus the sunlight on a paper and burn it. As the large amount of heat is passing through the piece of glass, will it get heated ?

No, the lens will not get heated much because light incident on it is transmitted through it is not absorbed. The lens will be heated up or its internal energy will increase only due to the light absorbed by it.
