Why is there no dispersion of light refracted through a rectangular glass slab ?

Dispersion occurs when different colours of white light emerge through different angles while passing through a prism. In a glass slab, opposite faces are parallel to each other. Therefore, different colours of light emerge parallel to each other and are seen simultaneously. Hence,no dispersion occurs in case of a glass slab.
