(b) Dinitration of 3-methylphenol
(c) Mononitration of phenyl methanoate.

Both OH and `CH_(3)` groups are o-and p-directing. Therefore, position 2,4 and 6 are activated. But due to steric hindrance, subsitution does not occur at position 2, i.e., in between two groups.

(iii) `OCOCH_(3)`- is o-p,directing but due to steric hindrance, p-product predominates.
