a. Radioactive waste materials are released form thermonuclear explosions. Radioactive isotopers , such as radium - 226 , thorium -232, potassium - 40 , uranium - 235 , carbon - 14 etc . Are spread all over the world and contaminate air , soil , water , vegetation and animals .
b. Irrepairble electronic goods and computers are called electronic wastes (e- waster).
Ships that are no longer in use or that are to be dismantled are called defunt ships . Asbestos , Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) produced during dismantling defunt ship cause serious health hazards especially cancer.
C. Municipal solids wastes are wastes from homes , offices stores, schools, hospitals , etc., that are collected and disposed by the municipality.
