Sockets are provided to connect movable electrical appliances. We have two different types of sockets.
(a) Two-pin socket : One pin a connected to a live wire and other pin is connected to a neutral wire.
(b) Three-pin socket : One pin of connected to a live wire, second pin is connected is essential to ground leakage current or the unwanted current that flows accidentally through the outer cover of the appliance.
