When a neutral body (i.e, a body which processes equal positive and negative charge) is brought closer to a negatively charged body, the end of the body which is facing the negatively charged body acquires a positively charge and the opposite end (farther end) acquires the negative charge, but the net charge presene in the body is zero, still the body will be neutral.
