What are Satellite DNA in a genome? Explain their role in DNA fingerprinting.

DNA sequence which are repeated many times, show a high degree of polymorphis, and form a bulk of DNA in a genome, called as satellite DNA.
DNA from every tissue from an individual , shows the same degree of polymophism , and is hertiable , hence very useful in DNA fingerprinting.
