Competition is a negative interspecific interaction in which both the interacting species inhibits the growth and survival of each other either by consuming limited common resource [e.g. Flamingoes and fishes competing for the same resource (i.e., zoo planktos ) in S. Americal lakes]. or through interference competition (i.e., When feeding efficiency of one species is lowered due to presence of inhibitory species e.g. extinction of Abingdon tortoise in the presence of goats having greater browsing efficiency).
