Poaching of tiger is a burning issue in today’s world. What implication would this activity have on the functioning of the ecosystem of which the tigers are an integral part?

The existence of top carnivores like tiger and lion is very important for stability of an ecosystem . Excessive poaching of them will lead to rapid increase in population size of herbivores e.g. deer which will cause huge damage to our crops. So the ecosystem will become unstable.
