The correct Answer is:
D

Suppose the number of fruits in the second basket = x
Number of fruits in the first basket = 2x
Number of fruits in the third basket ` = 2x xx 3/4 = (3x)/(2)`
Now , ` 2x + x + (3x)/(2) = 30 xx 3`
` = (4x + 2x = 3x)/(2) = 30 xx 3`
` = 9 x = 30 xx 3 xx 2`
` therefore x = (30 xx 3 xx 2)/(9) = 20`
Number of fruits in the first basket ` = 2x = 2 xx 20 = 40`
