Can a quadrilateral ABCD be a parallelog...

Can a quadrilateral `ABCD` be a parallelogram if
(i) `< D + < B=180^@` ?
(ii) `AB=DC=8cm, AD=4cm and BC=4.4cm` ?
(iii) `A=70^@ and < C = 65^@` ?

Text Solution

(i) `/_D + /_B = 180^0`
The sum of measure of adjacent angles in a paralellogram should be `180^0`, hence it may or may not be possible.
(ii) `AB = DC = 8 cm, AD = 4 cm and BC = 4.4 cm`
This is not possible, as opposite sides must be of same length for a paralleogram to exist.
(iii) `/_A = 70^0 and /_C = 65^0`
This is not possible, as opposite angles should be of equal.
