Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Specially large sized cells around vascular bundles of leaves in `C_4` plants are called bundle sheath cells and show Kranz anatomy. The bundle sheath cells may form several layers around the vascular bundles. Each cell bundle sheath possess chloroplast. Such chloroplasts are radially elongated. Chloroplasts in the cells of bundle sheath lack grana, while mesophyll chloroplasts are normal as in `C_3` plants.
