Succulents are known to keep their stomata closed during the day to check transpiration. How do they meet their photosynthetic `CO_(2)` requirements ?

Such plants fix `CO_2` to form organic acids using PEP carboxylase at night. Stomata are open during night in succulents. Decarboxylation occurs during sunlight. `CO_2` thus liberated is fixed by Calvin cycle.
