Photosynthetic organisms occur at different depths in the ocean. Do they receive qualitatively and quantitatively the same light ? How do they adapt to carry out photosynthesis under these conditions.

They do not receive same light at different depths in ocean. The plant requiring complete light are found in shallow water. In deeper water, algae are found which can tolerate dilute light. Longer wavelengths remain on surface, shorter wavelengths of light penetrate deeper. Organisms found in deep sea bear accessory photosynthetic pigments.

(The two central sections are set aside for storing weapons). There are 4 conditions for placing guards: 1. All 16 sections must be occupied. 2. No section can hold more than 3 guards. 3. Each of the four outer sides (total of both levels) must hold 11 guards. 4. The whole upper level must hold twice as many guards as the whole lower level. Although the cage facility received 3 fewer guards than expected. The facility placed the guards in conformity with these four conditions. The Aladdin asked Genie to bring back the diamond but in order to do so, Genie needs some information. He needs to find out how many guards were expected?

Some experiments were carried out using Croton sp. plants to understand the process of photosynthesis. It was observed that the leaves of the plant exposed to light for longer duration accumulated more starch. However, due to presence of pre-formed starch in the leaves, it was difficult to find the net productivity on a fixed exposure to light source. Therefore, it was necessary to obtain starch free leaves in the plant before starting the experiment. Some of the starch free leaves were coated with wax on both the surfaces. The plant was maintained under normal environmental conditions. At the end of the experiment, the wax coated leaves are likely to show _________.
