In what kind of plants do you come across 'Kranz' anatomy? To which conditions are those plants better adapted? How are these plants better adapted than the plants which lack this anatomy.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Kranz anatomy is present in `C_4` plants. Plants are better adapted for dry tropical conditions. Photorespiration donot take place in `C_4` plants. Rubisco enzyme in `C_4` plants is present in bundle sheath cells only, as a result oxygen is not released due to absence of photolysis here.
