How is fat digested in the humans?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No digestion of fat occurs in buccal cavity while very little digestion of fat occurs in stomach. About two-third of fat is stepwise digested by pancreatic lipase enzyme in small intestine while remaining fat is digested by intestinal lipase. But digestion of fat is never completed.
