(i) Parturition is the process of expelling of fully formed young from the mother.s uterus after the gestation period. (ii) Parturition is induced by following hormones : (a) Oxytocin stimulates forceful contraction of myometrium of uterus and induces labor pain. (b) Relaxin of corpus albicans widens the pelvis for easy child birth.
