Menarche is the first menstrual cycle of the female and indicates the attainment of sexual maturity and ovulation from the ovary. It comes between 10 to 14 years of age. Menopause is the period of cessation of menstruation in the female and indicates the end of the reproductive fertile period. It comes between 50 to 52 years of age.
