Mother.s milk is highly nutritive and is formed of water, minerals (e.g. `Na^(+) , K^(+) , Ca^(2+), P^(3+)` etc), fat droplets, proteins (e.g. casein) and sugar (e.g. lactose). Besides providing nutrients to the baby, the milk conducted during breast feeding, called colostrum, is rich in proteins, calories and some antibodies (e.g. IgA) which provide passive immunity.
