Two types of lymphocytes of human blood are : B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes.
(a) Mode of action of B-lymphocytes. When stimulated by specific antigen, B-lymphocytes differentiate into RER- rich plasma cells which divide rapidly to form a clone of plasma cells which produce antibodies to form humoral immune system.
(b) Mode of action of T-lymphocytes.
