Mention the importance of Lactic acid bacteria to humans other than setting milk into curd.

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are also present in the human gut and inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. LAB also synthesize and release vitamin-`B_(12)` in the curd so increasing its nutritional importance.
