How do mycorrhizae help the plants to grow better?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Mycorhizae are symbiotic interspecific association between the fungal hyphae and roots of the higher plants. These increase the absorption capacity of the plants for water, phosphorus and certain organic compounds. These also empower the plants to resist soil-bome pathogens, increase in salinity and drought.
