A : In the presence of air resistance, if the ball is thrown vertically upwards then time of ascent is less than the time of descent.
R : Force due to air friction always acts opposite to the motion of the body.

The correct Answer is:
a

While ascending or descendig , particle covers the same distance . Acceleration during the downwards motion `(g -F//m)` is less than retardation during upwards motion (g+f/m). Hence using `h = (1)/(2)gt^(2)` we can understant that time of ascent is less than the time of decent .
