Side Side Side(SSS) Congruence: Two triangles are congruent if the three sides of one triangle are equal to the corresponding three sides of the other triangle.

Basic proportionality Theorem or Thales Theorem - If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle intersecting the other two sides; then it divides the two sides in the same ratio.

Construct a triangle of sides 4cm,5cm and 6cm and then a triangle similar to it where sides are (2)/(3) of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

SSS Similarity Criterion : If the corresponding sides of two triangles are proportional;then they are similar

SAS Similarity Criterion: If in two triangle; one pair of corresponding sides are proportional and the included angles are equal then two triangles are similar.

Thales theorem is given by a greek mathematician. According to this theorem, if a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle then it divides the other two sides in the same ratio. This theorem is also known as Basic Proportionality Theorem. Here, the value of x is :

Construct a triangle of sides 4 cm, 5 cm and 6 cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides are 2/3 of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.
