The correct Answer is:
B

Suppose there were x passengers initially
Number of passengers after first stop = `(x)/(2) + 35`
Number of passengers after second stop = `(4)/(5) (( x)/(2) + 35) + 40 = 80`
`implies (x)/(2) + 35 = ((80 - 40))/(4) xx 5`
` implies (x)/(2) = 50 - 35 = 15`
`therefore x = 30`
