What are the main objectives of the NonAlignment policy?

The main objectives of Non-alignment (NAM) are: (i) To strengthen freedom of newly independent countries, ending of colonialism and promoting world peace. (ii) Social and economic reconstruction which could be done only in a peaceful world. (iii) Realizing the danger of imperialism, the newly independent countries came united to bring world peace. (iv) Along with the policy of non-involvement with military blocks, its policy is for creating a better world also. (v) Peaceful co-existence between countries,opposition to military alliances, disarmament, condemnation of racial discrimination, favour to human rights, establishment of economic relations between countries free from exploitation and based on equality.
