Water potential of a cell is 0.244 Mpa and pressure potential is 0.402 MPA. Calculate the osmotic potential of that cell.

We know that,
When potential `(Psi_w)` = Osmatic potential `(Psi_s)` + Pressure potential `(Psi_w)`
`therefore `(Psi_s) = Psi_w - Psi_p`
`~~0.244 - 0.402 =- 0.158` Mpa
here , the water potential is (-) 0.158 Mpa.
