Acetyl Co-A is one of respiratory co-enzyme produced from pyruvic acid by oxidative decarboxylation and by `beta-` oxidation of fatty acid . It enters in Krebs cycle and combines with 4-carbon compound oxaloacetic acid to form citric acid or ketone bodies in absence of `O_(2)` in the cell .
