Discuss the external and internal respiration in human body.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

External respiration : In this respiration `O_(2)` is absorbed by blood from inhaled air and `CO_(2)` is expelled from blood to alveoli for being exhaled .
Internal respiration : In this process , the tissues absorb `O_(2)` from the blood capillaries and give out `CO_(2)` into them . The `O_(2)` is used for the oxidation of food and for this reason `CO_(2)` is produced .
