Find the height of a cylinder whose radi...

Find the height of a cylinder whose radius is `7 cm` and the total surface area is `968 cm^2.`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The total surface area of a cylinder `A = 2pir(r+h)`
Here, `A = 968 cm^2, r = 7cm`
So,
`968 = 2**22/7**7(7+h)`
`968/44 = 7+h=>h = 22-7 = 15cm`
