A computer is a written program that is stored in memory. It performs specirfic functions as per the instructions given by the user. The present day commercial packages such as MS Excel/ Spreadsheet, Lotus 1-2-3, and d-base provide capacbilities for data processing and generation of graphs. On the other hand, ARc View/ Arc GIS, Geomedia, possess modules for mapping and analysis.
