Mutualism is a type of interspecific population interaction between two species where both the interacting species are benefitted and the benefit is obligatroy. Three examples are:
(i) Symbiotic microorganisms inhabiting stomach of large mammals.
(ii) Bacteria inhabiting caecum of rabbits
(iii) Symbiotic flagellates inhabiting intestine of termites.
