(i) (a) Pulmonary arch (b) Left ventricle (c ) Tricuspid valve (d) Interventricular septum (e ) Pulmonary (semilunar) valves.
(ii) Functions of parts :
(a) It carries deoxygenated blood from right ventricle to the lungs for oxygenation.
(b) It supplies oxygenated blood to various body parts through aortic arch.
(c ) Tricuspid valves prevent backward flow of blood to the right auricle when the ventricles contract (ventricular systole).
(d) Interventricular septum divides completely the ventricles into right and left ventricles to keep the deoxygenated and oxygenated blood separate.
(e ) Pulmonary (semilunar) valves are present at the base of pulmonary arch. They prevent backward flow of blood to the right ventricle during ventricular diastole.
