RuBisCo is an enzyme that acts both as a carboxylase and oxygenase. Why do you think RuBisCo carries out more carboxylation in `C_(4)` plants?

In `C_(4)` plants, the enzyme Rubisco is absent is mesophyll cholroplast. It is present only in bundle sheath Chloroplasts which gets continuous supply of `CO_(2)` through conversion of malic acid to pyruvic acid. Therefore, Rubisco usually acts as carboxylase rather than oxygenase.
