The protein synthesizing complex (i.e., ribosome attached with mRNA) moves from codon to codon along the mRNA. Specific amino acids are added one by one and translated into polypeptide sequence as dictated by DNA via messenger RNA. At the end, a release factor binds to the stop cadon, terminating translation and releasing the complete polypetide from the protein synthesizing complex.
