What would a person hear, if he moves away from a source of sound with the speed of sound?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No, the person will hear nothing if he moves away from the source of sound with the speed of sound because the relative velocity of the sound waves with respect to the person will be zero. Hence the sound waves cannot reach the person's ear drum and he is not able to hear.
