Give reasons why copper is used to make hot water tanks and not steel (an alloy of iron).

Copper is a much better conductor of heat than steel. Also, copper does not react with water at all but steel (an alloy of iron) reacts with steam. So, copper is used to make hot water tanks but not steel (an alloy of iron).
